GOD Moments: Living the WORD

Very often I have God moments.  A God moment is when I'll think about something, or ask God a question, and he DIRECTLY responds to me. (Click here for a full God Moment Definition)  Non-believers will question me, but it does happen to me.

For example I'll be driving in a car thinking of a specific situation. I converse in the car and pray to God about it, and immediately a car will pull up in front of me, with a scripture sticker on the back of it, with the APPROPRIATE verse that directly answers my question. It gives me comfort in the situation.  TRUE STORY, I kid you not.

OR... like today....  I'm visiting my dad in Maui, and decided to go to a church here since I'm unable to attend my regular church.  So this morning, I posted on my facebook.

Immediately after that conversation about me going to seek the word, and praying to receive the word, so I can use it in my everyday life, I pack up, and head to Hope Chapel in Kihei

And today's message was about that exactly.  I use to believe when things like this would happen to me, it'd be such a weird coincidence.  But I no longer believe that.  The more it happens to me, the more I believe that God is listening to me, answering my prayers.  Today made me realize that I should document these times, as a reassurance that he is always with me.

In church today we learned that when our hearts are overwhelmed, we are broken. ... When we are broken, Christ is the most beautiful, and we instinctively turn to his word to rescue us from the storm we are currently in.

It is not enough to know the WORD, but you have to TRUST in the word.

The truth of God's word is what protects us, when the world lets us down.

Colossians 3:16. Let the WORD of Christ dwell in you richly.

Psalms 119:
25 I am laid low in the dust;preserve my life according to your word.

26 I recounted my ways and you answered me;teach me your decrees.

27 Let me understand the teaching of your precepts;then I will meditate on your wonders.

28 My soul is weary with sorrow;strengthen me according to your word.
