MAACO WOW!

*telephone rings: Time is 5:45 am. I'm not sure if I'm still dreaming. As I float out of dreamland, I subconsciously answer the ringing phone. It's Taylor #1 on the other end. "BABE! I GOT INTO A CAR ACCIDENT"

"WHAT?" I reply *rubbing the blur out of my eyes. "Are you okay? Call the police"

7:21 am. Police reports are filed, and statements have all been given. What started off as a drive into work on a peaceful Hawaiian morning, turned out to be an UNLUCKY day for 4 motor vehicle drivers involved in the same car accident, caused by a reckless driver (YEAH it was a female).

• 2 lanes merging into 1
• She tries to get into the left lane, almost swipes a motor cyclist, swirves back into the right lane
• Speeds up
• Cuts back in cutting off Taylor #1
• WHAM! He slams into her
• BAM! Car behind Taylor #1 hits him from the back, causing a chain reaction which results in a 4 car pile up.

Background History: If anyone knows Tiaone, you know that his car is his baby with a customized paint job. This is truly a day of mourning. This is the vehicle PRIOR to the accident.

THE SEARCH IS ON!
Fast forward a few days, and the insurance companies have sent over a check for the estimated damages. Now the real work begins. Finding a place that can both repair, and paint the car back to MINT CONDITION within the allotted budget.

Taylor #1 decides he's gonna give MAACO a call, I slightly hesitated, because of all the bad mouth trashing most of the men I grew up with said about the place. I begged my husband to get a second quote. But MAACO gave him such a good quote, and being a man.... Taylor #1 decides not to take the advice of his wife Taylor #2

Now... I know what you're saying here. AW MAN. That's never a good thing. LOL. But FOR ONCE and I REPEAT! ONCE! He was right. LOL.

Front bumper, and Rear bumper both had to be replaced, and the car had to be completely repainted back to white before customization.

Car gets dropped off, they order the parts, 36 hrs later, they call Taylor #1. "Mr. Taylor, your vehicle's been repaired and painted all white, did you wanna come down to see it?"

We head to MAACO (98-746 Kuahao Pl. Pearl City, HI 96782), and we see Colin Riley outside with the Clean Pure White Chrysler 300 with her Shoes TWINKLING IN THE SUN.

WOW. Less than two days to repair the vehicle, AND paint it back to white. LOOKS SPECTACULAR. Soooo good in fact, Taylor #1 decides he's gonna take it out of the shop that night for Taylor #2's birthday party.

I must say, Colin did such a GREAT JOB, for less than what we expected to pay, but the quality of work was by far greater than the previous place that did the job.

The vehicle goes back into the shop next week to finish phase two of the job. She gets her new wardrobe. Black on White. Stay tuned for the pics once the vehicle's been completed.

But in the mean time, I have to say, don't believe what you hear about MAACO. Our experience was so great, that it was worth the blog.

If you're in Hawaii, and need to look them up, Tell Colin Riley that Tiaone Taylor sent you via his online blog. *wink
